Does your team have what it takes to win the Gr8 Race?

The Motiv8sports GR8 Race is set to be an incredible event, as each team races off on a journey around the “globe” to visit as many countries as possible.

On the 30th of June students will arrive at Harbord Park to be greeted by a sports dreamworld comprised of multiple countries, each country a unique, incredible activity or challenge to be completed.

Inflatable starting gates welcome our racers as the D.J drops the beat and they set off on a journey to visit as many countries as possible. Each completed country earns a stamp on your passport as students work in teams to see if they have what it takes to win the GR8 Race. Students gain sponsors for completing the GR8 Race to fundraise for the school. 

There is a 60-minute time limit as the Motiv8sports DJ makes announcements, enforces penalties, offers bonuses, and reminds teams of the rules. There’s no set path for the GR8 Race, teams will have to work together to make decisions about which countries to visit in what order. Each country's activity involves sport, music, dance, problem solving or adventure-based learning. 

Which Team will use their Teamwork, Communication and Collaboration to be CROWNED CHAMPIONS!

To get started is as simple as...

1. REGISTER YOUR CHILD ASAP: use the link below to get your child/ren registered for the event;

• Go to your dashboard
• Edit your child’s details if you participated last year or enter them if this is your first year
• pay the $10 entry fee to cover costs, participate on the day and be eligible for prizes

You will also be sent a permission slip from the school via SchoolBytes to cover their liability. Please complete both registrations.

2. START RAISING FUNDS WITH THE CLICK OF A BUTTON: Once registered, a unique fundraising link will appear on your child’s page. Then you can either:

• copy and send this via Messenger, text, WhatsApp or email to friends and family who can easily donate online, from anywhere in the world or 
• students can fundraise through other creative initiatives and parents upload the money afterwards - please be sure to note how the money was raised in the message box!   

Let’s encourage the children to think about the bigger picture, raise funds for a cause (although they will ultimately benefit from it) and try to teach them about kindness and philanthropy!

All funds raised will go directly to P&C projects across the school including:

• Further improvements of the Grounds for our students
• Further sustainability measures on site, such as more solar energy and environmental initiatives 
• Subsidise the costs of air conditioning units in our classrooms
• Help to buy new K-2 reading books
• Support important new student wellbeing projects, in partnership with the school

• First class to have every student registered - Popcorn party for the whole class
• Top fundraising class (K-2) – Chocolate Moosie party for the whole class
• Top fundraising class (Yr3-4) – Jan’s famous Muffin morning tea party for the whole class
• Top fundraising class (Yr5-6) – Pizza Party for the whole class

To make sure your child’s creative fundraising idea is recorded and can be recognised, please ensure you note on the online donation how it was collected and register with your teacher.  

FUNDRAISER’S RAFFLE

In addition to an incredible day’s entertainment students have the chance to win awesome prizes for their fundraising efforts. For every $10 raised, students will receive an entry in the draw to win:

• K-3 - $100 Smiggle voucher, Lego Set or Wahu Toy
• 4-6 - $100 Rebel Sport voucher, Frank Green Water Bottle or Wahu Toy

Plus there will be bonus prizes and give aways on the day.
